POLDARK heartthrob Aidan Turner is cashing in on his popularity by charging fans who want photos with him.

Aidan will be attending the MCM London Comic Con between 27th and 29th May to sign autographs and take photos with fans.

After appearing in The Hobbit and BBC3's Being Human, the 32-year-old shot to fame as the often-topless Ross Poldark, and will be capitalising on his new fame by charging for the honour of posing next to him.

A glossy professional photo will set Comic Con attendees back £25, whilst an autograph penned by the star will cost £20.

For some comic book fanatics Poldark's prices will be steeper than their ticket to the event itself - they can cost as little as £15.

Aidan's not the only actor who will be taking advantage of the comic junkies' obsessions with supernatural characters.

His Being Human co-stars Russell Tovey and Lenora Critchlow - who play a werewolf and a ghost - will also be charging the same amounts for photos and autographs.

Adoration of the brooding leading man is only set to increase as he's one of the actors rumoured to be in talks about being the next Bond.

Poldark producer Karen Thrussell did nothing to quash the rumours when she picked up his Broadcasting Press Guild Breakthrough Award on his behalf in March.

Hinting at why he might be absent from the ceremony, she said: "I am sure it is nothing to do with James Bond, but we will see..."

However, more recently the odds have turned in favour of The Night Manager lead Tom Hiddleston - one company has even suspended gamblers putting money down after a sudden rush of bets.

Aidan also faces competition for the role from The Revenant star Tom Hardy and Luther frontman Idris Elba.
