BILLIE Piper has appeared on TV writhing around in a blood-soaked threesome.
In a scene for Sky Atlantic's Penny Dreadful the actress appeared nude with co-stars Reeve Carney and Jessica Barden just days after she got divorced.
Singer-turned-actress Billie Piper is currently starring as Lily Frankenstein in Penny Dreadful, a psychological thriller that brings together classic literary characters from the 19th century.
In Sunday night's episode her Victorian character had a graphic threesome with Dorian Gray and brutalised prostitute Justine.
The trio all had blood smothered across their bodies and matted in to their hair as they writhed around together on an equally blood-stained bed.
At one point in the disturbing scene, Billie and one-time Corrie actress Jessica shared a racy kiss while American actor Reeve looked on.
In another, the tables turned and a bare-breasted Jessica watched as her co-stars enjoyed an intimate moment.
Far from being turned off by the gory debauchery, viewers took to Twitter to commend the programme.
One wrote: "Penny Dreadful, dudes. How many shows bold enough to feature a blood-soaked threesome? Five-star gratuity."
Another posted: "That blood-soaked threesome on last night's Penny Dreadful was quite interesting, to say the least."
Many were particularly taken with the Diary of a Call Girl actress' skills, with one writing: "Honestly Billie Piper's acting has never been better than as Lily. She's tremendous!! #PennyDreadful."
"Give Billie Piper all the awards now please. Thanks. #PennyDreadful," another posted.
The Because We Want To singer has recently spoken about the grisly nature of her latest TV project.
She told Western Daily Press: "The great thing about the show is there's a lot of horror, and then there's some real tenderness and understanding. It's really thoughtfully written.
"Not that it makes it more palatable, but there's reason. It's not just because we're out to get loads of viewers."
The 33-year-old's racy romp aired just four days after she was granted a quickie divorce from husband Laurence Fox.
The pair, who tied the knot in 2007, confirmed they had separated in March.
A joint statement read: "No third parties are involved. For the sake of our family we request and appeal for space and privacy at this time."
Neither party was present for the divorce hearing at the Central Family Court, meaning it was all over within 50 seconds.
