Popster tricked snapper lover into thinking he wanted her to photograph the band
ANDY BROWN used to be a regular contender for my Player of the Year title.
But those days are firmly behind the LAWSON frontman – I can reveal he is now engaged to long-term love JOEY McDOWALL.
The cheeky Scouser – who once dated THE SATURDAYS’ MOLLIE KING and had a fling with KELLY BROOK – has been with Joey for three years and went down on one knee this month.
And he took full advantage of the moment, using it as the centrepiece for the band’s new video.
Andy tricked Joey – a model and part-time photographer – into thinking she would be taking pictures behind the scenes as the boys shot a promo for single Where My Love Goes, which is out tomorrow.
Instead the cameras were firmly focused on Joey.
He told me: “I was so scared. We’ve done amazing gigs all over the world but it was a feeling I’ve never had. I collapsed once I’d done it. ”
The vid shows Andy in mid-song as he wanders up to Joey, unveiling the words “Will You Marry Me?” in lights before popping the question.
Cue thousands of hearts breaking.
