The chosen two

Who made it through to the Britain’s Got Talent final in Tuesday’s show?

Judge Alesha Dixon refused to pick, relying on the public vote instead

MAGICIAN Richard Jones and Boogie Storm are the next two acts to win a place in the BGT final.

Richard, whose day jobs is a soldier in the Household Cavalry, went straight through to Saturday night’s show thanks to winning the public vote.

The judges had a hard time this evening when it came to picking who would go through to the final

It was up to the judges to decide who out of the second and third place acts Boogie Storm and Jack Higgins would be joining him.

Simon Cowell kicked off the voting by not surprisingly picking the Storm Troppers after using his Golden Buzzer on them previously.

He told hosts Ant and Dec: “This is the oddest situation I have been on the show, Jack I think you are amazing but you do have to understand I have to pick my own.”

Amanda went next and surprised with her choice – Boogie Storm.

“You really lead with your heart Jack, Boggie Storm I found you so entertaining. I’m going to go with Boogie Storm,” she revealed.

Ant and Dec were going to move on to Alesha next but decided to ask David – as he had previously declared his love for dancer Jack.

And he didn’t disappoint, saying: “For me this is very easy, I am going to say Jack.”

Alesha meanwhile looked close to tears as she decided to throw it back to the public vote, rather than having to make the heart breaking decision herself.

The Storm Trooper may not have been able to speak but they danced with happiness

“I think both acts could be in the final. Honestly I don’t want to make the decision so I am going to throw it to the public,” she said.

According to the public vote – which topped 1.5 million this evening – Boogie Storm came in second place.

Speaking about his loss, brave Jack said: “It’s hard but I am going to try even harder.”

Winner Richard told Ant and Dec: “Everyone has been incredible. I have spent a lot of time with these guys and they are so talented.

“I wasn’t expecting it at all. It was a real shock. I have something very special planned.”

Simon spoke on behalf of the Storm Troopers, who for obvious reasons can’t speak.

“My heart went out to Jack tonight. Here’s the good news we have a public vote for the wildcard. He does deserve to be in the final- so voted for him. In the meantime I am very proud of you Boogie Storm.”

Flying Bebop came in 9th place, 8th was Zyrah Rose, 7th Khronos Agoria, 6th Vadik and the Bear, 5th Morgan Connie Smith and in fourth place was Josh Curnow .

Richard and Boogie Storm will join cheeky singer Wayne who went straight through during Monday night’s show after topping the public vote, while sword swallower Alex was chosen by the judges.

Wayne impressed with his rendition of Frank Sinatra's That's Life and Alex made audiences squirm and scream with a death-defying act that saw him almost impale himself by falling onto giant drills.

The pair now join 100 Voices of Gospel and mother/son singing duo Mel and Jamie in the final.
Britain's Got Talent continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
