WILL Smith seemed to address his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's affair with August Alsina in a resurfaced video from 2018.
The clip, shared on the the A-lister's Instagram, shows him scrolling through a golf course as he openly talks about his marriage issues with his longtime partner.
He said: "Love. I asked her what was one of the biggest revelations she had had about love.
"She said you cannot make a person happy. I thought that was a real deep idea.
"You can make a person smile, you can make a person feel good, you can make a person laugh.
"But whether a person is happy is deeply utterly and completely out of your control."
Will, 51, continued: "I remember the day I said to Jada, 'I retire. I retire from trying to make you happy. I need you to go make yourself happy and just prove to me it's even possible.'
"We started talking about it, we came into this false romantic concept that somehow when we got married we would become one."
The mega-star suddenly reveals that he and Jade, 48, came to a realization.
He said: "What we realized is that we were two completely separate people on two completely separate individual journeys and that we were choosing to walk our separate journeys together.
"But her happiness was her responsibility and my happiness was my responsibility.
"And we decided that we were gonna find our individual, internal private separate joy and then we were going to present ourselves to the relationship and to each other already happy."
Will added: "Not coming to each other begging with our empty cups out demanding that she fills my cup and demanding that she meets my needs.
"It's unfair and it's kind of unrealistic. And it can be destructive to place the responsibility for your happiness on anybody other that yourself."
During Jada's recent Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk, she with the singer, 27, when she and her husband were secretly separated in 2015.
, who was joined by Will, told him: “I’m just happy ‘cause I definitely believe that you and I, we never, ever, ever thought that we would make it back."
These words came after the Bad Boys 3 star admitted he was for a bit.
He recalled: "I wasn’t sure I was ever going to speak to you again.
"The fact that I’m speaking to you again is a miracle.
"[Marriage] ain’t for the weak at heart. There’s just certain things that you have to go through
"I sure wish it could be all magic and miracles."
