DOG the Bounty Hunter has urged fans to read his niece Brittany Hammond's memoir on her drug addiction.
The reality star, 67, said he recommends Brittany's book "I AM: A Memoir" to "every parent or addict that needs a way out".
- real name Duane Chapman - shared a photo of the memoir's cover on his Instagram on Tuesday.
He captioned it: "This is my niece Brittany's new book. This is a very good book if you are having struggles in life with drugs.
"I recommend this to every parent or addict that needs a way out.
"This is a memoir of her personal journey into and out of addiction."
Dog has proudly promoted Brittany's memoir many times on social media since it was published in May.
In a description of the book, Brittany explains how her life felt like a "nightmare" as she struggled with addiction.
"I used to believe that my life was at a dead end, that it had no meaning, that I was surely insignificant, and that the world might even be better without me and my selfishness, and the raging battle that went on inside of me as I struggled to keep my head above water in my addiction," she writes.
"This had to be some kind of nightmare."
Brittany then reveals she decided to seek help after ending up sleeping next to a toilet in a jail cell.
"When I had finally reached the bottom of myself, I had landed myself in a jail cell in Fayette County, Tennessee, with 5 felony charges against me there and 7 felony charges against me in DeSoto County, Mississippi," she recalls.
"I had no more friends to call, no more pleas to make, and a hellish drug withdrawal to go through. I had resigned myself to the fact that this jail was my new permanent address.
"As the jail was overstocked, both the bunks of my cell were already taken by its current residents, so I made my "bed" on the concrete floor next to the toilet."
After being locked up, Brittany decided to "set things in motion" and start her recovery journey.

The news comes 11 months after Dog's wife, Beth Chapman, passed away.
Beth died in late June 2019 at the age of 51 after sadly losing her battle with throat cancer.
Speaking on her new engagement, Francie said Dog got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
In response to his proposal, she said: "Who can say no to that? It was wonderful."
She shared the happy news on her Instagram page, showing her ring and writing: "So excited for this new chapter!"
They moved in together earlier this year and kept their romance a secret, only revealing it to the public in March.
The bounty hunter was able to “pressure” Felix into turning himself in, thanks to “tips and leads” from locals in Virginia.
