BRITISH stars Dua Lipa, Lewis Capaldi, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles are set for battle at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.
The Brit quartet lead the nominations for this year's event set to take place in New York at the end of August.
Lewis' stellar year continues to improve as the Scottish crooner bagged a nod in the coveted best new artist category.
Dua, 24, and Harry, 26, dominated the technical video categories including best direction, for their songs Don't Start Now and Adore You respectively.
Harry's hit track also picked up a nomination for best art direction, while Dua's Physical track was nominated in the same category.
Physical got two more nominations for Dua in the visual effects and choreography categories.
Singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran, 29, received one nomination in the best collaboration category for his moody track Beautiful People alongside Khalid.
Other big nominees including Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande who lead with nine nominations each.
They were also nominated together for their hit track, Rain On Me.
Billie Eilish and The Weeknd then follow the top nominees with six nods each.
But to reflect the times, this year's awards will include two new categories including, best music video from home and best quarantine performance.
Lewis' nominations come during a very big week for the 23-year-old singer.
He just notched up his second million – in just a week.
The cash has finally rolled in from his sold-out tours last year and figures from his record sales firm confirm that he's become a millionaire twice over.
His Face Like Thunder Touring Limited outfit has revealed this week that it has cash in its coffers of £1,058,419.
He’s also owed a further £583,268 so with debts to pay of £342,662 that means his firm has a bottom line of £1.3 million – adding up to a money-spinning 2019 for the star.
Lewis is also hitting the road again next year in a series of shows for 2021 - including the Latitude Festival.
And he is laying on counsellors and panic rooms for stressed out fans when his gigs resume.
