I’m A Celeb star Roman Kemp takes break from Capital FM after he’s left devastated by close pal’s death

I’M A Celebrity star Roman Kemp is taking a break from his hit Capital FM breakfast show after being left devastated by the death of a close pal.
The radio host, 27, and his co-stars Sian Welby, 33, and Sonny Jay, also 27, came off air mid-way through their Capital FM breakfast show on Tuesday, after being told the tragic news about a friend they had worked with.
Roman — son of Spandau Ballet star Martin — and his team have been granted leave by station executives, who confirmed a replacement presenting duo.
Rob Howard, 31, and Lauren Layfield, 32, will stand-in for the close-knit trio for the rest of the week.
The abrupt end to Tuesday’s show, after Roman had interviewed girl band Little Mix, was quickly spotted by listeners, who took to social media to ask why they had all left the studio unexpectedly.
Almost four million fans tune in to the nationwide show, which airs for four hours every morning.
An industry source said: “Roman and his colleagues are in complete shock, they can’t believe someone they were all close to is gone.
“They’ve all been left completely shattered by the upsetting news and are taking some time to grieve and digest the tragedy.
"It’s a tough time for them all right now.”
