‘I weigh over 20 stone… my body can’t cope for much longer’: This Morning’s Alison Hammond faces up to realities of obesity as she vows to lose 8 stone
Alison admitted she's "so embarrassed" by her struggle with weight and wants to slim down

ALISON Hammond has revealed she's tipping the scales at over 20 stone but is struggling to shift the pounds.
The former Big Brother contestant said she's "embarrassed" by her weight struggle and has vowed to shift an incredible eight stone.
Speaking to Bella magazine, she said: "I know how much I weigh, but I'm so embarrassed by it I can’t say...I'm 20-something stone.
"It's the one thing in my life that I feel like I can't achieve. When you get really big like me, you don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel.
"I need to do it in small stages. If I just try and live healthily and drink lots of water, the weight loss will come.
"If I lose one or two stone, it’s not going to be obvious to anybody, but I'll feel better in myself."
In a more extreme effort to overhaul her body, Alison went to a week-long fitness bootcamp and despite losing 10 pounds, Alison was disappointed.
She said: "It's not that good because I'm really big anyway. I think I lost around 22 inches off my body, though."
While she wasn't impressed by her weight loss, Alison said she liked their focus on trying to curb emotional eating.
Alison is mum to a young son named Aiden and admits she's partial to sweets and chocolates.
She said: "I am making small changes. It's a slow process. It's all about eating clean and loving myself to the point where I want to look after my body."
The 41-year-old previously tried to battle her weight by having a gastric band fitted back in 2006 but it didn't work.

She said: "I don't want to have surgery, but if it got to the point where I couldn't walk, and I’d tried everything, I'd have to consider a gastric bypass. Obviously I don’t want to get to that stage.
"For someone as big as me, it's really tough. It's like I'm carrying a man on my back with my weight.
"I'd love to weigh 12 stone, that's the ideal weight for my height – I'm 5ft 9in – but if I got to 15 stone and around a size 14 to 16 I’d be over the moon."
Alison, who previously appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, said her weight loss inspiration is Lisa Riley who lost a stone in a week on an incredible 400 calories a day diet.
Lisa lost an impressive eight stone and went from a size 30 to a trim size 16.
She said: "She's an inspiration for bigger girls. Being big isn't great for your joints and stuff – I’m testimony to that.
"It's time to take some of that weight off my joints. My poor body might not be able to cope for much longer so I have to help it out by taking weight off."
The new issue of Bella is on shelves now.
