Tom brands Adam a 'snake' after he asks Sophie out on a date
WAR has broken out on Love Island as Adam and Tom clashed over Sophie.
Both boys are interested in the brunette beauty, and Adam riled his love rival by asking her out on a date in tonight's episode.
Newcomer Adam was asked to "play the field" by choosing his favourite girls to take on a date.
He whisked Olivia and Zara off to a vineyard for a wine-tasting, but Tom's worst fears were confirmed when Sophie also received an invite.
The text stated there would be a glass of wine waiting for her...
She admitted she was not keen on the idea of going out on a date with Adam, but insisted she felt "obliged" despite her loyalty to Tom.
She was concerned about his reaction, but Tom gave her a big hug and urged her to go along with Adam's invite.
He said: "Just go and steal a bottle of wine for me. I’m genuinely not bothered about you going at all. I promise you.”

Before the date, Sophie moped about the choice she had to make.
She said: "It’s flattering, it really is flattering but at the same time it’s filled me with a bit of dread because I’ve just seen how Tom reacted.
"I was thinking how I would feel if a girl came in and asked Tom on a date, I would be really upset.
"I don’t know. I don’t know what’s nerves, what’s excitement and what’s dread in this place. Don’t know anymore. Honestly. I’m just going to go with it. Just be like whatever.”
He later added in the Beach Hut: "I don’t want to be moody and kick off, and kick up a fuss over nothing when I know I trust her and I don’t think anything is going to happen.
"I don’t think she’s going to give out any vibes that she wants to be with him. So let him try. See if he can handle it.”
During the date, Sophie urged Adam to focus his attention on the single girls - Olivia and Zara, who have both been vying for his attention.
It all seemed to kick off after Adam and Sophie got back to the house, with the Irish hunk declaring: "I will face the wrath of Tom..."
The pair then squared off as they discussed their feelings for Sophie.
Tom made is cleared he was "p****d off" with Adam for asking her out, declaring: It was a big deal to me..."
Tom even branded Adam a "snake" for attempting to steal Sophie away.
He told him: "I think you’re a little snake."
Adam acknowledged he should have asked Tom before asking the stunner out on a date, adding: "I should have come up to you first. I respect that. I just didn’t think. It all came at once. It is strictly on a physical attraction with Sophie. She’s the girl I think is the prettiest in here.”
However, the date left poor Sophie feeling "confused" and she even started to question her romance with Tom.
She admitted she "clicked" with Adam and could even be potentially considering him as a partner.
Sophie said: "It is confusing when you’re with one guy in here and you go on a date with another.
"And the date went well. I did click with Adam, which I really didn’t think.”
She was even honest about her feelings with Tom, who looked crushed as he realised he could be losing Sophie to Adam.
However, Sophie was adamant she did the right thing by having a candid chat with Tom.
She said: "He's ok with me - I told him the truth."
