Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch gets drenched in special effects downpour
Actor shoots series four in London with co-stars Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington and gets soaked

SHERLOCK had its own on-set mystery when the film crew used fake rain machines to shoot in torrential showers.
The devices created a downpour so Benedict Cumberbatch, 39, had to take shelter outside a café – next door to Holmes’ fictional Baker Street home in Bloomsbury, London.
The actor was filming the long-awaited fourth series of the BBC detective drama with co-stars Martin Freeman, 44, who plays Dr Watson, and Amanda Abbington, Watson's wife Mary and the actor's partner in real life.
But the real mystery was why a rain machine was needed.
No doubt for Sherlock the answer is elements-ary.
Luckily for the cast and crew rumours have been circulating that filming of the show may soon move to the much dryer locale of Marrakesh, Morocco.
It's also rumoured Night Manager star Tom Hiddleston could be making an appearance as a third Sherlock brother, Sherrinford, a character that didn't exist in Arthur Conan Doyle's novels.
