Peter Andre’s wife Emily praises Emma Willis’s son Ace for breaking gender stereotypes with long hair and pink t-shirt

EMILY ANDRE has praised Emma Willis's son Ace for "breaking gender stereotypes" after she took a photo of him with long hair and wearing a pink T-shirt.
Peter Andre's wife, 31, applauded the former Big Brother host for sharing the snap of her eight-year-old son on Instagram and said the pair had helped to "normalise differences" in society.
The photo attracted thousands of comments after Ace was seen with shoulder-length blonde hair, with the little boy wearing a pink crop top, ripped jeans, and pink Nike trainers.
Writing about it in her OK! columnn, Doctor Emily said: "I really loved the picture and I think it's great that she's normalising differences and the way that kids feel about their genders.
"Try to let your kids do what makes them happy, and if that is wearing pink and having longer hair then let them do it."
Emily, who shares kids Millie, six, and Theo, three, with Peter, 47, revealed she had addressed gendre roles with her daughter after they watched The Greatest Showman.
She said she told Millie how "lucky we are to live in a much more accepting society compared to the past" and added: "Everyone is different and special in their own way, and they should be accepted. I think it's important to just let them do whatever it is they enjoy."
Last week The Voice UK presenter Emma said she was forced to block trolls after sharing the snap of Ace.
She said the "block button" came in handy after cruel keyboard warriors left nasty comments on a picture of her son who she shares with husband Matt Willis.
Talking about the huge reaction her photo received on Good Morning Britain she told hosts Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins: "There were a couple of negative bits, but the block button is a great thing."
Emma added: "I was really overwhelmed actually because it's just my son in a pink top and for me that is normality.
"He loves colour, he's always had long hair. He's a very free and open-minded boy who doesn't really, well, he's like 'why do I have to dress in green, blue or grey if I like pink, red, purple?'
"I've tried to raise him as a very open-minded young boy."
The presenter and her 37-year-old Busted husband Matt are famously private when it comes to the identities of their children - 11-year-old Isabelle, Ace, and four-year-old Trixie - and have never revealed their faces.
And fans rallied around her after she shared the photo of Ace, with one saying: "Just shows how far we have to go in breaking down gender stereotypes. Pink is simply a colour. Hair grows. Let kids (or adults) wear whatever they want!"
Another added: "So what if this boy has beautiful long blonde hair and wears a pink T-shirt! Jesus! I bet he smiles a million more times a day than you miserable judgey ADULTS commenting on this child! #getalife."
A third said: "Your son is an inspiration. Coming from a mummy of a son who loves pink, rainbows and his Elsa dress. He is following his own story and not bound by stupid society stereotypes. ❤️❤️❤️."
Her celebrity pals also shared their support, with pal Fearne Cotton revealing Ace offered to make her a dress in her comment.
