Line Of Duty’s Craig Parkinson ‘splits from Sex Education star wife Susan Lynch after 12 years’
LINE Of Duty's Craig Parkinson has split from actress wife Susan Lynch after 12 years of marriage, according to reports.
The 44-year-old actor, who starred as DI Matthew 'Dot' Cottan in the BBC crime series, separated from Sex Education star Susan last year.
Speaking to , Craig's dad Derek said: "Yes, they have split up. It's very sad but Craig is okay, and people do know. They are trying to stay amicable, it's just one of those things."
A source also told the publication: "Craig and Susan kept their split very private but they parted ways last year. It has been completely amicable between them.
"They have busy careers and are involved with separate ventures, they just grew apart and decided it would be stronger for their family if they were no longer married."
The exes are co-parenting their nine-year-old son.
Craig's devious corrupt cop - Matthew Dot Cottan - convincingly died in a hail of bullets at the close of series three.
It came after he was unmasked as a fixer and informer for a paedophile ring, and gave his dying declaration to Vicky McClure's Kate Flemming.
Susan, 49, is an award-winning actress, whose television credits include Happy Valley, Killing Eve and Doctor Who.
During their time together, the couple lived on both sides of the Atlantic.

In an interview with last year, Craig said: “We’d just got married and she was straight on Broadway [playing Maire in Brian Friel’s Translations]. We were in New York for six months and I loved it. The cat came over and everything.”
After their stint in the Big Apple, London called, and they relocated to hip Camden, before ditching the city for Stroud to start a family.
He said: “She was a bit worried that I wouldn’t adapt to the countryside. I’m from the seaside and I’m kind of used to cities; I’ve been in London since I was 17. But I wouldn’t live anywhere but here now.”
