Daniel Craig says Sean Connery had ‘wit and charm in mega watts’ and hopes ‘wherever he is there’s a golf course’
DANIEL Craig has paid tribute to Sir Sean Connery, saying the James Bond star had "wit and charm in mega watts" and hopes "wherever he is there's a golf course".
The Scottish actor was confirmed to have passed away this morning aged 90.

He landed his first role as 007 in 1962's 'Dr. No', which propelled him to international stardom.
The current Bond told The Sun: "It is with such sadness that I heard of the passing of one of the true greats of cinema.
"Sir Sean Connery will be remembered as Bond and so much more.
"He defined an era and a style. The wit and charm he portrayed on screen could be measured in mega watts; he helped create the modern blockbuster.

"He will continue to influence actors and film-makers alike for years to come.
"My thoughts are with his family and loved ones. Wherever he is, I hope there is a golf course."
Sean's family said the actor “died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family,” adding: “There will be a private ceremony followed by a memorial yet to be planned once the virus has ended.”

Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger praised the late great, writing: "Sean Connery was a legend, one of the greatest actors of all time.
"He provided endless entertainment for all of us & inspiration for me. I’m not just saying that because he was a bodybuilder who placed in the Mr. Universe contest! He was an icon. My thoughts are with his family."
Hugh Jackman shared a photo of iconic actor Sean posing as James Bond.
He wrote in his tribute: "I grew up idolizing #SeanConnery. A legend on screen, and off. Rest In Peace."
Piers Morgan also paid tribute, saying: "RIP Sir Sean Connery, 90. The first James Bond. The best James Bond. What sad news."
Sharing a snap of the legendary actor, Michelle Keegan wrote on Instagram: "The best Bond there ever was.
"Rest in peace Sean Connery."

Gary Lineker wrote on Twitter: "Shaken and, on this occasion, stirred to hear that Sir Sean Connery has passed away.
"Had the pleasure of playing golf with him on a couple of occasions. A real character and for me, the best Bond. James Bond should be immortal. RIP."

Sir Sean, who played Bond between 1962-71, won a string of acting awards included an Oscar, two Bafta awards and three Golden Globes.
