Strictly’s Tess Daly in tears as she watches husband Vernon Kay on I’m A Celebrity

STRICTLY'S Tess Daly was brought to tears last night as she watched her husband Vernon Kay make his debut on I'm A Celeb.
The All Star Family Fortunes favourite, 46, is one of ten celebs taking part in this year's series at the haunted Gwrych castle in North Wales.
Tess, 51, took to Instagram after the show aired to confess she was overwhelmed with emotional as she watched Vernon begin his bid to become king of the castle.
She said as she shared a screengrab of Vernon on the show: “I was so excited tonight watching @vernonkay on @I'macelebrity I took a picture of the TV!
"What a great show it was; I laughed and cried already! And @antanddec brilliant fun.”
Vernon previously struggled to contain his emotions in a trailer video for the show where he discussed how he wanted to make his and Tess' two daughters Phoebe, 16, and Amber, 11, proud.
The TV presenter told the camera: "The thing for me is, doing it for the kids, I want Amber and Phoebe to really enjoy me in it.
"Every time I mention the show they just go, 'Yes!' And I go, 'Oh my god, I hope I don't let them down'."
The star's voice cracked as he gestured at his face while saying: "That's why I keep welling up!"
Tess, who married Vernon in 2003, yesterday celebrated his appearance on the show by sharing a rare family photo of him with their daughters.
She told fans on Instagram Phoebe and Amber couldn't wait to see him move into his temporary home as she shared the snap which showed them and their famous parents.
Tess wrote: "GOOD LUCK VERNON️ After not being able to see him for what feels like AGES me & the girls can’t wait to watch Vern on tonight’s first @imacelebrity and see how he fares in the Castle!?
"We love you SO much and we miss you TONS! Go #teamVernon #imaceleb All our love Tess Phoebe & Amber XXX."
Vernon and the other celebs took part in their first trial on the show - the Gates To Hell.

The trial saw the stars stood in a cages as they tried to move stars with their hands through chambers while cockroaches, crickets, mealworms and maggots were poured over their heads.
However, Vernon - who is believed to have signed up for the show for a rumoured £150,000 - dodged having to do another tonight.
That dubious honour will instead fall on Shane Richie and Radio 1's Jordan North when I'm A Celeb returns to ITV at 9pm.
