Strictly’s Jamie Laing reveals he had a hair transplant after a friend’s cruel comment

STRICTLY's Jamie Laing got a hair transplant two years ago - despite doctors saying he didn't need one.
The Sun exclusively revealed in 2018 that he had the surgery after he was teased by pal Francis Boulle for looking old compared to his then 19-year-old girlfriend Heloise Agostinelli.
The Made In Chelsea star, who is now dating Sophie Haboo, unveiled the results of his new barnet on Made In Chelsea in 2018.
He said on his podcast Private Parts at the time: “My friend decided to go for a hair transplant and I decided to go with him.
“I think we got a little bit of a discount. But we decided to go to the best place ever. We went to Nottingham because apparently that is the place of hair transplants.
“As I arrived in the clinic they went, ‘oh let me see’, and as I took my hat off they went, ‘well you don’t really need one’, and I went, ‘well we’re here now so we might as well do it’.”
He went under the knife for eight hours for the treatment costing up to £5,000 with surgeons taking hair follicles from the back of his head to the front to reduce the size of his forehead.
He continued: “They said it’s going to take eight hours. I was like, ‘are you kidding me?’
"They then take all the hair follicles out of the back of your head, put it into the front of your head and supposedly they grow back.
"I said, ‘well what’s the treatment process for how many months and weeks?’ They said it could take up to a year. I was like, ‘are you f*****g joking?’ It’s going to take a whole year.
“It’s going to grow out, like hair. I don’t have hair at the front of my head.

“I can’t reverse it now. Also, do you want to know the best thing about all this? I didn’t realise this also, when you get the hair transplant at the front that hair never goes.
"So if you start to recede bald back you’re left with just two bits at the front of your head like two horns. The good thing is it’s non-reversible. You can never ever, it’s not like a tattoo you can get it lasered off you can never change it.
“Normally what people with profiles can do, ‘oh my God I got a hair transplant’ and do it for free. I didn’t do that I paid for it. But now I’ve just told anyone anyway. Could’ve got it for free, paid for it and told everyone. Ideal.”
