Katie Price’s husband Kieran Hayler reveals plan to adopt Harvey as Katie slams dad Dwight Yorke ‘an absolute fool’
Kieran hopes to make the family feel more connected by adopting 14-year-old Harvey
KATIE Price’s husband Kieran Hayler has revealed plans to adopt his stepson Harvey, stating: “He is my child.”
Speaking to OK! magazine, the 29-year-old builder, who has two other children with Katie, Jett Riviera, two, and Bunny, 20-months, opened up about how legally adopting Harvey, 14, would make the family feel “connected.”
"I've always thought it would be good because I'd like us all to be connected.
“He is my child at the end of the day.
“Why not actually make him mine, because he feels like he's mine anyway?
“He's my stepson no matter what happens."
Kieran is 38-year-old Katie’s third husband, and she branded him a “real man” for the care he takes of Harvey.
However, she slammed Harvey’s birth father, footballer Dwight Yorke, for never taking any interest his son, calling him an “absolute fool.”
"I've sent him pictures of Harvey but I never get anything back,” she said.
“Anyone can fill a pram, but it takes a real man to be a father.
"I think he's an absolute fool and it's a shame Harvey hasn't had the support he deserves from him."
Harvey suffers from multiple disabilities, including blindness, autism, ADHD, and Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare congenital disorder which causes learning difficulties, growth abnormalities and excessive eating, meaning he needs round-the-clock-care.

Katie has often expressed her heartbreak over the fact that Harvey’s dad won’t see him, and in February shared a picture of Harvey on Instagram captioned: “Harvey so looks like Dwight Yorke here shame he doesn’t want to see him.”
The mum-of-five received an outpouring of support from followers, with one fan posting: “One day Dwight will look back and realise just how much he’s lost, the love of a child for the parent and vice versa is priceless, you can’t never get those moments back as they go through life.
“Dwight has lost out on so much Harvey is a wonderful special little boy.”
