ITV soap to deliver shock twist as conclusion to Callum Logan murder storyline

CORONATION Street fans have revealed their shock and dismay over the news that character Kylie Platt is to be killed off in a shock twist.
Actress Paula Lane, who plays the mum-of-two, announced she would be leaving the ITV soap in February after six years on the show.

Die-hard fans of the show and the character were quick to take to social media to share their shock, with one viewer simply writing: "Genuinely gutted".

Paula recently revealed her reasons for quitting the soap, admitting to she wanted to focus on the impending birth of her second child, and spend quality time with husband Tom Shaw and 18-month-old son Arthur.
She also dropped a big hint about what happens to her alter ego, saying: "I think it’s got to be a clean break.
"I have to put Kylie in a box, literally. I think that’s the healthiest option.”
