Harry Styles shows off his new short hair as he films WW2 thriller Dunkirk in Holland
The singer turned actor is pictured in character for his debut film

HARRY Styles was hard at work as he was pictured filming scenes for World War II thriller Dunkirk.
But at the same time the former boyband heartthrob was able to show off his much-talked about new short hairstyle as he cut his teeth as an actor on set.
With One Direction taking a break from recording, Harry has turned his focus to cracking Hollywood.
And as these latest pictures show, the singer is getting down to business with fellow cast members.
Directed by Batman director Christopher Nolan, the film will be Harry’s first venture onto the big screen and he'll star alongside the likes of Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy.
Set in 1940, the movie will depict the real-life events that occurred in Dunkirk, during the battle against Nazi Germany.
Filming scenes in Urk, Holland, the 22-year-old was smeared with grease as he joined the rest of the crew on speedboats on the water.
There were times when the pin-up appeared deep in concentration, before chatting with fellow cast in between takes.
Harry said goodbye to his curly locks back in May, causing a meltdown across the internet when he cut off his trademark long locks and shared a picture of his chopped ponytail.
He captioned the shot with: "Whoops #Littleprincesstrust"
Within minutes, the hashtag #RIPHarrysHair was trending worldwide.
The generous star donated his hair to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs to children across the UK and Ireland who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
Since then Harry has kept fans guessing about his new cut, previously covering up his new 'do with a variety of headwear.
Recently his sister Gemma revealed the star's new look in a Snapchat video as she joked about his choice of clothing on Independence Day.
Sharing a snap of him wearing a blue and white star covered shirt, she wrote: “Independence Day shirt….? No…? Did I….?”
