Rylan Clark-Neal says that he and husband Dan will have children ‘in the near distant future’
The Big Brother’s Bit On The Side presenter opens up about his plans to start a family
RYLAN Clark Neal has revealed that he and husband of eight months Dan Neal would like children in the “near distant future.”
Explaining that he would only have them if he was financially secure, the 27-year-old feels that he and Dan are now in the position.
Speaking to New! magazine, Rylan, who has just landed a gig presenting The Xtra Factor, said: “It's something I'd like to do but only when the time is right.
“I've always said I wouldn't have kids unless I was in a financial situation where I knew I wouldn't have to worry, and I'm fortunate enough to be in that now.
“I have my own 16-year-old stepson, Cameron, who I've inherited. I'm sure in the near distant future it'll happen.”
Cameron is Dan’s son from a previous relationship and Rylan believes the teen would make a great older brother.
“I'm sure [Cameron] would be fine with it [if we decided to have a child]. I think he'd love it.”
The pair made TV history on Friday when they became the first gay couple to host daytime show This Morning.
In the opening segment Rylan said: “For the first time in the show’s history me and my husband Dan are going to be presenting today.
“We’re the first two blokes, the first two lads.”

He then went onto embarrass his husband, by telling viewers: "This is what really wound me up last night, Dan’s been really cool about this, really calm and then he’s up til one o'clock in the morning with a notepad making notes [and] this morning all the way in the car."
Dan added: "He was calling me a swot in the car this morning," before Rylan interrupted saying, "Then look what’s happened now, you’ve just fell to pieces."
