Zayn Malik adds a Star Wars Lightsabre tattoo to his collection – and it GLOWS
The popstar's latest inking on his finger shines blue
AFTER he insisted aliens told him to quit One Direction Zayn Malik has hammered home his passion for the paranormal with a Star Wars tattoo.
Though the latest inking in his collection isn't just a bog standard outline of a Lightsaber - this one actually GLOWS.
The Pillowtalk singer and Trekkie plumped for the luminous design on the inside of his third finger and when it's time for lights out, it shines with a blue haze.
The proud popstar's pal uploaded a snap of the design - themed on the iconic film series - to his Instagram page JonBoyTattoo with its iconic catchphrase: "May the force be with you," before tagging the Bradford lad in his post.
He revealed it was UV ink which made the design stand out and Zayn's fans gave it an overwhelming thumbs up.
One wrote alongside the snap: "How sick is this?" while another added: "Perfect."
Zayn, 23, already boasts a huge range of tattoos across his body.
Earlier this year, he convinced his followed he had a garish bird and flower design penned on the right side of his face with the letters M.O.M - only to later reveal it was fake, with the initials representing his album Mind of Mine.
Yet his latest artwork chimes with his interest in the other world being focused on the blockbuster franchise about antics in a galaxy far, far away.
This week Zayn, who is dating Victoria's Angel supermodel Gigi Hadid, said paranormal activity played its part in his decision to leave the X Factor band last year.
He : “An alien spoke to me in a dream.”
The other-worldly beings could well then have helped the hunky Bradford lad scoop chart success with his debut single Pillowtalk and album, Mind of Mine, both reaching the number one spot.

As well as taking time top top up his tattoo collection, Zayn has been packing on the PDA with gorgeous Gigi, 21.
The cute couple clutched each other's hands and sported beaming smiles on a day out in New York.
Looking effortlessly stylish, they even showed they were in-tune with their fashion sense and strolled around in ultra-trendy sportswear.
The One Direction popstar and Victoria's Secret Angel split briefly last month.
A source close to the young lovers, who even teamed up for a sweet shoot in Vogue magazine, then dropped a huge hint they were hooking up.
They said: “They broke up and got back together almost right away.
“Right not it’s back on, but it could be off again in an hour.”
