After months of speculation the new Han Solo has finally been confirmed for Star Wars prequel
Actor Alden Ehrenreich has been hired to replace Harrison Ford in new blockbuster

STAR Wars fans were sent into a frenzy today as movie bosses finally revealed who will be replacing Harrison Ford as Han Solo.
Rising actor Alden Ehrenreich will take on the iconic role in an upcoming spin-off prequel.
The announcement was made today at a Star Wars Celebration event in London.
Alden made a special appearance at the panel to confirm the casting news, and talk about his role in the upcoming Han Solo movie.
The film will focus on the character made famous by Harrison and is due to hit cinemas in 2018.
The news was also tweeted out from the official Star Wars account.
The message declared: "Alden Ehrenreich is Han Solo in the upcoming #HanSolo Star Wars Story. #SWCE."
Fans have since sent Twitter into meltdown as they debated the casting choice.
Alden is best known for his role in the Coen brothers comedy Hail, Caesar!, but he has also made appearances in films such as Twixt, Woody Allen's critically-acclaimed Blue Jasmine, Stoker and Beautiful Creatures.
His bumper movie CV has now given him his big break as he saw off competition from around 3,000 hopefuls to win the coveted Star Wars role.
His casting has been rumoured since last year, but it has only now been officially confirmed.
During the panel event in the capital today, Alden revealed he auditioned for the role onboard Solo's iconic ship the Millennium Falcon and he acted opposite the character's longtime companion Chewbacca.
Alden told the audience: "I screen tested with Chewbacca – I'd never acted with a Wookiee!"
The Force Awakens star John Boyega was also present at the event to congratulate Alden on winning the role.
He even compared Alden to original Han Solo Harrison, declaring: "Oh man, you're playing Han Solo, man. Damn! He's smiling just like him!"
The event today also feature original Star Wars castmembers Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
The Han Solo film, which is currently untitled, is one of a number of projects movie bosses are working on following the huge success of The Force Awakens last year.
As well as two sequels to the blockbuster, which was the seventh instalment in the sci-fi franchise, Disney bosses are also preparing to release a stand-alone spin-off titled Rogue One.
The film will be set shortly before the events of the first Star Wars film, 1977's A New Hope, and focus on a group of rebels who are on a mission to steal the Empire's new weapon - the Death Star.
