The TV presenter teased his wife as they discussed nude dating show
EAMONN Holmes lived up to his cheeky ways on This Morning as he playfully suggested that he is only with wife Ruth Langsford because of her “magnificent body”.
The pair had been discussing the controversial nude dating show, Naked Attraction, when the 56-year-old decided to make the comment.
A viewer had written in saying: “Everyone’s lying when they say they don’t date someone based on their looks…”
As Ruth began to interject, Eamonn then said: “Let me finish, will let me finish… Because certainly if it was your personality, then I would never have gone out with you.
“You have a magnificent body which sealed the deal and keeps us together.”
Ruth laughed: “You still don’t like me very much.”
While Eamonn replied: “No, but you’re body is brilliant. That’s enough for me. I’m a man of simple taste.”
Ruth pulled a look a shock and continued to laugh as she replied: “How shallow.”
The couple were speaking to guest Shona Sibary about Channel 4’s new show which showed an average of five penises and two vaginas every minute.
In 48 minutes, not including commercials, the show flashed a total of 282 shots of male genitalia and 96 female.
The series opener sparked 45 complaints to watchdog Ofcom.
Ruth played devil’s advocate as she stated: “This is what young people do now. They swipe right or left based on looks.”
While Shona argued that the show could have a dangerous effect on the younger generation and alter their views on love and dating.
