DEBBIE MCGEE takes a rabbit from the hat — and along to the vets.

McGee, 57, mourned the loss of her husband and magician Paul Daniels earlier this year, when he died of a brain tumour aged 77.

But she still lovingly looks after the performer’s pet rabbits and took a sick one to a veterinary clinic in Reading, Berkshire, yesterday.

The couple were married for 28 years before the magician passed away at their £2.5million home in Wargrave in April.

During their relationship, Debbie was never far from his side and cared for him in his final days.

In May, McGee told the Sun she wanted to become a Strictly contestant to honour her late husband, saying: “I want to get through this painful time of grief.”
