Shayne Ward practices daddy duties after announcing he’s to become a father for first time

FAMILY has always played an important part of his life having grown up in a large one himself, now it appears that Shayne Ward can’t wait to get stuck in on his own as he’s snapped cooing over a pal’s tot following the news that he is to become a dad for the first time.
The picture was uploaded a week ago to Instagram by Shayne’s pregnant girlfriend Sophie Austin.
The Sun exclusively revealed that the 32-year-old Coronation Street star and his former Hollyoaks actress misses, also 32, are expecting a child together after just four months of dating.
News of their romance came shortly after Sophie – who left the role of Lindsey Butterfield in the Channel 4 show in March – revealed she had split from her husband of nine months, Graeme Rooney.
A source said: “Sophie and Shayne have been keeping the exciting news to themselves to enjoy the moment in private.
“But mum and baby are doing amazing and they’ve started telling their nearest and dearest.
“They were unable to hide their joy at Shayne’s music gig at Glasgow’s Hamilton Park Racecourse on Saturday, chatting about the baby backstage.
“It’s definitely shocked a few people because of how fast it’s happened, but they’re completely in love and are excited about becoming first-time parents.”

Confirming the news himself on Twitter last night (August 1), the Mancunian soap hunk, who has six brothers and sisters, wrote: “After much speculation I'm over joyed to announce that @sophieaustin1 and I are expecting our first child. #blessed.”
After his timeline was flooded with well-wishes from fan, he followed it up by tweeting: “Myself & @SophieAustin1 feel So Blessed. Thank you for Such caring & lovely messages. New adventure for the 3 of us.! #Happiness #family (sic).”
