Peter Andre reveals pregnant wife Emily was banned from family holiday to Florida over Zika virus fears
Pop star's partner had to stay at home while the rest of the clan headed to Orlando theme parks
PETER Andre has revealed his pregnant wife Emily MacDonagh was banned from their family holiday in Florida over fears she could contract the Zika virus.
The pop star headed to the Orlando theme parks with his kids, but Emily stayed at home in the UK to protect the couple's unborn baby.
The pair are currently expecting their second child together, and Emily was "gutted" to find out that pregnant women have been warned to stay away from areas affected by the mosquito-borne disease.
The virus can have serious effects on unborn children, so she decided to let Peter go on his own with Princess and Junior, his kids from his marriage to Katie Price.
Peter, 43, revealed his wife, 26, was disappointed about missing out on the family holiday, but knew she had to protect her baby.
In his column for New! magazine, he wrote; "Princess, Junior and I flew out to Orlando last week...
"Unfortunately, Emily couldn't come with us because CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) issued a travel warning advising pregnant women not to travel to Florida as the Zika virus is actively circulating there.

"Although Ems was gutted, it worked out quite well as she doesn't like leaving Mills [the couple's two-year-old daughter Amelia] and they got some quality time together."
The pop star went on to reveal his sister Debbie flew in from Australia to spend time with him and the kids, and they enjoyed outings to theme parks including Universal Studios.
He added: "Despite a major thunder storm, we had so much fun at Universal Studios!"
Peter has two kids, Princess and Junior, from his failed marriage to former glamour girl Katie.
They divorced in 2009 and he went on to strike up a new romance with medical student Emily.
They welcomed their first child, Amelia, in 2014 and they tied the knot last summer.
The happy couple announced their baby news in May, and the new arrival is believed to be due at the end of the year.
