Ex On The Beach’s Charlotte Dawson reveals she ‘cried her eyes out’ during filming for emotional ITV documentary about her late dad comedian Les
The family have put their long-standing rift aside to film the emotional documentary

LES Dawson’s family are putting their long-running family rift to one side – to film an ITV documentary on the late comedian.
The telly legend’s youngest daughter, Ex on the Beach star Charlotte, revealed that the Dawson family had recently finished filming an emotional documentary on Les – which is set to air this Christmas.
And the lingerie model, who was only eight months old when her father Les suffered a heart attack and died, admitted that she cries her “eyes out” after discovering unseen letters and voice recordings of her dad on the show.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Charlotte revealed: “Before Ex on the Beach I filmed an ITV programme about my dad – Les Dawson.
"I filmed a show about that so that’s coming out at Christmas.
“We filmed that in January/February – I think it’s going to be shown on ITV3 and the main ITV channel.
“It’s very emotional. I find letters from him that I’ve not seen before and find different videos and voice recordings of him.
“There’s a couple of letters to me and I find out quite a bit about him. It’s very, very emotional and I absolutely cried my eyes out filming it.
“But I feel like he’s with me anyway – I feel like I’m him.”
Charlotte also admitted that the “emotional” documentary will see her meeting up with some of the comic genius’s close friends.
She added: “In the show I meet up with his work colleagues and things which is good.
“It’s nice going on that journey and doing the show as I get to know him more and I just feel so proud to be his daughter.”
The reality telly star is set to join her siblings, Stuart, Julie and Pam, on the documentary – despite the fact she has only spoken to her brothers and sisters on rare occasions since their dad passed away in June 1993.
The family had a disagreement over who should pay for Les’s funeral which meant that Charlotte never got to know her half-brother and half-sisters.
But Charlotte also has another TV show in the pipeline as she will be starring on the new series of Ex on the Beach which airs 16 August at 10pm.
And Charlotte won’t be holding back as she will be shown getting involved in some raunchy sex scenes and aggressive bust-ups on the upcoming, explosive MTV show.

Charlotte is also hoping to follow in her dad’s footsteps – by pursuing a career in acting and TV in the future.
The glamour model revealed: “I’ve always loved acting so that’s definitely something I want to do in the future.
