Jesy Nelson takes aim at Little Mix by insisting solo career is ‘best time of her life’ and praises new bff Nicki Minaj

JESY Nelson has thrown more shade over Little Mix while gushing about her solo career.
In a week where relations between Jesy and her ex bandmates have soured beyond repair, the singer has declared that she feels "liberated" as a solo artist.
Jesy, 30, has said she is the 'happiest she has ever been' while also heaping praise on her new BFF, Nicki Minaj.
Speaking on Dubin's, Jesy gushed: "I do feel like I've taken control of my life.
"I'm now creating the music I always wanted to do, I'm doing the music videos I've always wanted to make.
"It feels amazing. It's liberating being able to express who I am as an artist."
I just feel really content and at peace with myself now."

She went on: "Honestly, this is the happiest I've ever been. I just feel really content and at peace with myself now.
"A big part of that is because I genuinely feel like I've taken control of my life now."
Last week, Jesy's debut solo single Boyz - featuring US rapper Nicki Minaj - dropped.
It is already climbing the charts and, away from the music, Jesy's friendship with Nicki has also stepped up a gear thanks to her ongoing feud with her ex Little Mix bandmates.
After reports that Jesy had already been quizzed about 'blackfishing', The Sun revealed this week that Leigh-Anne had previously warned the Essex-born star not to make her skin look darker as it was offensive to black people.
Nicki then stirred the pot during a live stream with Jesy on Monday night.
During the Instagram call, the rapper ranted: "When you try to bring someone down because you see them continuing to try and pursue their careers, you are a f***ing clown. And let me tell you, there's a lot of women out here in the US that tan and get bigger lips."

Despite Nicki's obvious feelings about Little Mix, Jesy was quick to speak positively about her new American friend during her FM104 interview.
She declared: "I feel like I'm in a bit of a bubble right now, I feel overwhelmed.
"I just feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now. My fan base and Nicki Minaj's fan base are just incredible."
