X Factor blunder leaves contestants staying in the Red Light District of Ibiza

Production crew feared contestants would be led astray by the prostitutes in the area

X FACTOR contestants had to be escorted to and from their hotel after it was booked in the middle of a red light district.

Three brothels surrounded where Louis Walsh’s groups were staying in the notoriously seedy part of Ibiza Town for the Judges Houses episode of the ITV show.

Production crew had to chaperone those taking part – several of whom were teenagers and had never left home before – in case hookers led them astray.

A source said: “Louis wanted to go to Ibiza to film his bands and make his final decision of who to put through to the live shows.

Cast and crew were in for a shock when they realised they were based minutes from the red light district of Ibiza

“However the only hotel for the crew and contestants to stay in that was available was in the middle of the red light district.

“Nobody knew until we got here and then it made sense why they had rooms.

Hookers sat outside one brothel called “Sexy Bar” while other working girls tried to attract punters into “Dolce & Bananna”.

Both were less than 50 yards from the hotel and three 17-year-olds were taking part in various bands to be judged by Louis.

Two church-going brothers had never left the country before on their own without their Gran.
