FINALLY free, Britney Spears has been busy making up for lost time.

The 39-year-old singer was last Friday handed back control of her life — and her £45million fortune — after 13 years under a court-ordered conservatorship, and has now spoken out about her ordeal for the first time since 2008.

In a video yesterday, she said: “I’m just grateful, honestly, for each day and being able to have the keys to my car, and being able to be independent and feel like a woman and owning an ATM card, seeing cash for the first time, being able to buy candles.

“It’s the little things for us women but it makes a huge difference and I’m grateful for that.”

Britney also shared a picture on Instagram showing off her rear in a lacy red bodysuit with the caption: “Kiss my motherf***ing ass.” And she has been updating her legion of devoted fans — who founded the #FreeBritney movement — on what she plans to do next, revealing she is planning a television tell-all to rival Meghan and Prince Harry by also appearing on Oprah Winfrey’s show.

She wrote on her Instagram: “I might as well do a hint of my thoughts on the gram before I go and set things square on @Oprah. I mean who knows . . . I do know how embarrassing it is to share the fact I’ve never seen cash or wasn’t able to drive my car.”

Britney was first placed under the controversial court order — which gave control of most of her life choices to her father Jamie — after going into hospital twice in 2008 following claims of erratic behaviour. She stayed quiet about it until this June when she gave an explosive testimony to a court about how she had been treated under the order.

‘It was demoralising and degrading’

She revealed how she was forced to tour, put on mood stabiliser lithium and that her father revelled in controlling her.

She said: “I’ve been in shock. I am traumatised. I’m not happy. I can’t sleep. I’m so angry it’s insane. And I’m depressed. I cry every day.”

The guardianship was managed by her 69-year-old dad until September. Court records show he paid himself around £12,000 a month from Britney’s estate for the role.

In court, Jamie alleged that Britney’s mum Lynne, 66, was paid more than £110,000 a year by her daughter. Now Britney has hinted she will stop at nothing to seek justice — and even called for her family members to be put in jail in a social media post yesterday.

She wrote: “It still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me . . . it was demoralising and degrading!!!!

“I’m not even mentioning all the bad things they did to me which they should all be in jail for . . . yes including my church-going mother!!!! I’m used to keeping peace for the family and keeping my mouth shut . . . but not this time . . . I have NOT FORGOTTEN and I hope they can look up tonight and know EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN!!!!”

It is not the first time Britney has spoken of taking legal action against her parents over the order. During a court hearing about the issue in June, she told the judge: “Ma’am, my dad, and anyone involved in this conservatorship, and my management, who played a huge role in punishing me when I said no, Ma’am, they should be in jail.”

Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart called for an investigation in September into dad Jamie’s behaviour. In a court filing, Rosengart wrote: “He took unwarranted commissions from his daughter’s work, totalling millions of dollars; he takes a salary larger than his daughter’s.”

Britney now looks to be cutting her family out of her life, including banning her mum from her Californian home. A source told celeb gossip column Page Six: “A few weeks before the conservatorship ended, Lynne flew to Los Angeles to try to reconnect with Britney. But Britney didn’t even let Lynne into her house. She is furious with her.”

Earlier this month, Britney also lashed out at her mother and former business manager Lou Taylor on Instagram. In a now-deleted post she wrote: “My dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago . . . but what people don’t know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea. I will never get those years back.”

Britney told a court that under the conservatorship she was banned from getting married and was given birth control against her will. In June she said: “I have an IUD inside me to prevent me from having a baby. I want to go to a doctor and take it out so I can have a baby but they told me no.”

Britney has now got engaged to her boyfriend of five years Sam Asghari, 27. In September she showed off a picture of her engagement ring with the caption: “I can’t f***ing believe it.” She has hinted the wedding may be soon, and revealed her dress is being made by Versace.

'Play the role in my own life'

In an Instagram post of her in a pink tulle dress, she wrote: “No this is not my wedding dress bahahah!!!! Donatella Versace is making my dress as we speak.”

The singer, who is mum to sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, also hinted she was feeling broody, captioning an Instagram picture of a baby: “I’m thinking about having another baby.”

While her fans are keen for Britney to tour and release more music, it is perhaps more likely she will go down a campaigning route. In a video yesterday, she said: “The Free Britney movement — you guys rock. Honestly, my voice was muted and threatened for so long and I wasn’t able to speak up. You gave it awareness to all of them and because of you I honestly think you guys saved my life in a way . . . 100 per cent.”

Britney added that she wanted to use her voice to help people in real need — and could possibly target the laws around conservatorships.

She said: “I’m here to be an advocate for people with real disabilities and real illnesses. I’m a very strong woman so I can only imagine what the system has done to those people.

“So hopefully my little story will make an impact and make some changes in the corrupt system.”

Last month Britney revealed she had been looking at scripts telling her life story — but panned what she had seen so far.

In an Instagram video, she said: “You know, what’s really puzzling to me is all these people are starting to send me all these scripts for my own life but none of these scripts are even true.

“Aren’t I supposed to play the role in my own life?” It is clear that as far as Britney is concerned, her story is only just getting started.
