HAS the return of X Factor inspired you make a bid for musical stardom?

If you think your performance would have the judges shouting "it's a yes" then it may be time to start preparing for an appearance on the 2017 show.

Earlier this week it was reported that a deal to keep the show with ITV for another three years was about to be signed, despite earlier speculation that the channel was considering letting it go.

That means there will be plenty more opportunities for up-and-coming talent to get noticed.

Applications are expected to open later this year.
