NETFLIX series 'Stranger Things' is currently taking the country by storm with its first series, with viewers hoping for confirmation of a second.
So what else is new on Netflix this year? Here are our recommended ‘ones to watch’.
Amanda Knox
Netflix have announced the release of ‘Amanda Knox’, a documentary exploring the notorious Meredith Kercher murder trial.
The series is set for a global release on the 30th September, alongside three other non fiction titles.
The case has previously been explored on the big screen with documentary A Long Way From home and the film Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy.
The Ivory Game
This thrilling documentary was executively produced by actor Leonardo DiCaprio and follows documentary makers infiltrating the global network of ivory trafficking and animal poaching. It will be available from November 4th.
Stranger Things Season Twpo
Stranger things has gripped Netflix viewers since its release in August.
The series, created by the Duffer brothers, focuses on a small American town gripped by the disappearance of a local child.
Fans will be thrilled to hear that a second series of the science fiction show has been confirmed.
The series will premiere in 2017, there will be nine episodes.
A second series is yet to be officially announced, however in an interview with IGN the Duffer brothers revealed some details about how it may unfold.
It is set to take place in 1984, a year after this season’s events and the creators have promised there will be justice for Barb.
Extremis
Although we know little about it, Extremis makes its premiere as a Netflix original series from 13th September.
Directed by filmmaker Dan Krauss, the short documentary focuses on end of life care – it explores the decisions made by families, patients, doctors and nurses within an intensive care unit.
Narcos 2
Netflix recently announced that ten new episodes of the popular series Narcos, will be added to the streaming site this September.
Wager Moura will continue his role as Pablo Escoabar in the American drug and crime series.
It is rumoured that the second season will focus on the pursuit of the Colombian authorities to take down Escobar.
