The actress was joined by Colin Firth and Patrick Dempsey as she stunned in a one-shouldered gown

IT has been 12 years since the characters of Bridget Jones have graced our screen and tonight they are back for the world premiere of the hotly-anticipated third film - Bridget Jones's Baby.
Renee Zellweger - who plays the film's titular character Bridget Jones - made a glamorous arrival on the bright pink carpet.
Looking like she has barely aged over the years, the 47-year-old opted for an elegant one-shouldered navy gown that featured a sexy thigh high split.
The frock showed - that unlike her character - she puts in plenty of hours down the gym as she showed off impressive arm muscles.
Patrick Dempsey – who plays one of Bridget’s baby’s potential fathers - looked as dashing as ever as he made his entrance.
Colin Firth - who plays Mark Darcy, the other potential dad - arrived alongside side wife Livia.
The actor showed off his style credentials in a smart suit and his favoured dark-rimmed glasses, while his stunning wife kept it simple in a simple yet chic black ensemble.

FIRST LOOK - By JAMIE EAST, Film Editor
IT’S been overdue, but finally one of 2016’s big movies has delivered.
The third in the Bridget Jones series has everything we love about her films.
Nearly all the cast is back, jokes are razor-sharp and cultural references are on point.
This time, Bridget is in her 40s and her man-trouble consists of being pregnant and not knowing who the father is.
The new characters are brilliant. Patrick Dempsey is as cool as they come in his role as Jack Qwant — Mark Darcy’s love rival and one of the two possible dads.
Meanwhile, Bridget’s dastardly and horrifyingly young new boss is a blend of all that’s ridiculous about the millennial generation as he spouts: “I want to NutriBullet the s**t out of this.”
And prepare for a fantastic cameo from singer Ed Sheeran.
As far as realism goes, you might wonder how many women really do jump on their bed holding wine.
But I know one hilarious scene, involving misunderstood directions in a TV studio, did happen in real life to a now very famous broadcaster.
BJB is as familiar as your favourite slippers but a lot funnier and a lot less smelly. It won’t be the last we see of her.
“Why did it take so long?I'm glad it did- Colin said it was like wrangling cats,” she told us.
“It takes so long to get us all together but it's interesting to see where they are now.”
And revealing why she loved her character, she added: “I love how she's so authentic and make us feel it's ok to be imperfect- she makes me laugh!”
Meanwhile director Sharon Maguire turned heads at the premiere wearing a stunning gold dress - a look Bridget would no doubt approve of.
It wasn't just those in the film who attended though, there were also plenty of fans excited to watch the film.
Loose Women star Jamelia skipped the TV Choice Awards to be there and told us she sees herself as the 'black Bridget Jones'.
Speaking to The Sun Online at the premiere, she said: "I put my foot in my mouth all the time. I relate to her so much-I think we were separated at birth. I'm like the black Bridget Jones!"
Pop couple Marvin and Rochelle Humes looked very eager to take their seats in the cinema.
Saturday's singer Rochelle showed off her incredible figure in a black mini dress with a pair of gladiator style knee high boots.
Fellow pop star Ellie Goulding was also in attendance, revealing her toned legs in a cute mini dress with pussy bow blouse collar detail.
The film – which is set 12 years after the last one – catches up with Bridget (played by Renee Zellwegger) who is now working as a news producer.
However her steady life is once again turned upside down when she discovers she is pregnant – but she doesn’t know who the father is.
He could either be Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) or the handsome Jack Qwant - an American stud played by Patrick Dempsey.
The much-anticipated chick flick also stars cake-loving, award-winning Emma Thompson (Saving Mr Banks), while Jim Broadbent and Gemma Jones reprise their roles as Bridget’s parents.
Sally Phillips also returns as Bridget’s best mate Shazza – and it looks like she’s well and truly settled down as she’s got a couple of kids.
The film, directed by Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones’s Diary), is the latest instalment in the beloved comedy series, based on creator Helen Fielding’s classic novel.
Bridget Jones's Baby is in UK cinemas on Friday.
