“I have no regrets, it was time. I'll miss the girls. It's the camaraderie I'll miss.”
The star – who has been on the show for 14 years – also revealed that she loved Coleen singing to her on today’s show.
Coleen broke down in tears as she belted out the Golden Girls theme tune Thank You For Being A Friend as a tribute.
Sherrie said: “There was nobody I would have liked more than Coleen to sing.”
And speaking about her big vocal moment Coleen told us: “I was nervous (singing) I learned it yesterday.
“As I was going up I was like 'I don't know it I don't know it' and when I got to the line I didn't know I said oh I'm going to cry. “
Meanwhile their fellow panellist Nadia Sawalha opened up about the new recruits who are joining the show – Lisa Riley, Martine McCutcheon and Stacey Solomon.
She revealed: “I'm so excited for new recruits I was on EastEnders with Martine so it's so funny that we've come all the way back round.
“Lisa Riley we have all absolutely taken to her it was just like she was here all the time.
“She's got that stuff that you really need as a loose woman she's been through a lot and she's lost that weight the proper way, you can't go through that without having a lot to say.”
