Matt Hancock snogs and dances with girlfriend Gina Coladangelo as they make first public appearance at The Brits 2022

MATT Hancock went public with his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo at the Brit awards on Tuesday night - openly snogging her as he bopped along to a Joel Corry song.

The former Health Secretary was treated like a "rock God" during the ceremony, enjoying VIP treatment in a £2000-a-head VIP box.

The ex-Minister, 43, was mobbed by drunk fans demanding a selfie - and was repeatedly offered "cheese and wine" by jesters. 

A fellow reveller said: "It was extraordinary.

Matt was absolutely mobbed, and treated like some sort of rock God - he may as well have been Liam Gallagher. 

"He was drinking wine from a plastic cup, and dancing - well, wriggling his hips - as Ed Sheeran and Adele performed.

He seemed to be having a great night."Matt and Gina were kissing quite a bit, and are clearly pretty smitten with one another."

This was a rare public appearance for Matt and Gina, his former aide. 

The couple were famously caught by The Sun kissing on CCTV, during the pandemic, at a time when the MP was publicly instructing Brits to practise social distancing. 

He was married to wife of 15 years, Martha, at the time. Matt quit his Health Secretary role in June last year following a public backlash.
