Sinitta blasts X Factor ‘fix’ and claims she’s been ‘thrown off the show’ as Mel B replaces her at Simon’s Judges’ Houses
The 52-year-old was caught up in fix claims because of her connection to The Brooks
SINITTA has hit out the X Factor after she was axed from the show – amid claims the show is a fix because of her connection to The Brooks.
The 52-year-old was expected to jet out to Los Angeles this week to assist her best friend Simon Cowell in the Judges' Houses round of the singing show, but she has now been dropped and replaced with Mel B.
Sinitta believes she was ditched from the show because she previously managed The Brooks - the Welsh twins who auditioned for the show last weekend.
However, Sinitta - who met the twins at her church - is adamant she stopped managing the group once they applied for the show in order to prevent any "fix" rumours circulating.
Fuming she ranted to the : "It's mental if I have been thrown off the show because of this [her connection to The Brooks]. There always has to be a scapegoat I guess."
Acknowledging her upset Simon, who used to date her, explained: "I know she's not happy [about being dropped at the last minute] but there's always next year."
However, a spokesperson for the show is adamant her link to the boys has nothing to do with her getting the chop.
The representative told the publication: "Mel B was the perfect choice for the Judges' House role."
Meanwhile, it's hardly surprising Sinitta is angry about the outcome as she's assisted the judges - either Simon or Louis Walsh - on the programme since it began in 2004.
She is well known for wearing a variety of eye-catching outfits during her appearances - most famously just a couple of leaves to protect her modesty.
She's also featured heavily on the spin-off show The Xtra Factor over the years and dished her opinions on acts.
