STRICTLY A FIX?

Strictly Come Dancing judges accused of fixing it for Daisy Lowe to win

Viewers took to Twitter to question her high scores while Danny Mac got just a seven

Daisy and partner Aljaz are top of the leaderboard - which some fans claim is a fix

STRICTLY Come Dancing has been hit with its first fix scandal after viewers accused the judges of favouring Daisy Lowe.

The model and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec were given 32 for their waltz on Saturday night's show.

Judge Len Goodman gave her the highest praise as he awarded her a nine out of ten and said: “I don't think I've seen a dance better than that for week one, ever!"

But Strictly fans questioned why he’d been so generous as Hollyoaks star Danny Mac danced a perfect tango but was only given a seven by the veteran judge.

And they took to Twitter to accuse the judges of fixing it so Daisy will win the show.

One wrote: “@bbcstrictly how did @dannymaconline get less than Daisy? He looked like a professional!! #strictlycomedancing #strictlyfix.”

Another said, “How can Len give Daisy a frikin 9 and Danny a 7 WOT??!!!!!! #unfair #strictly” while another added: “HOW is Len going to give Daisy a 9 and then Danny a 7 when he was considerably better? Bizarre.”

Others were also not happy as one posted: “So Len gives Daisy Lowe a 9 and Danny Mac a 7?! Were we watching the same dances? #DannyFTW.”

And one said they would be glad to see the back of Len as they wrote: “Daisy's dance was not the best of #Strictly this weekend. I'm glad this is Len's last series.”

Daisy and Alijaz danced the waltz to Nat King Cole’s Unforgettable which left her feeling rather emotional as she dedicated the dance to her grandfather, who died on her first day of rehearsals.

Speaking about her beloved grandfather Eddie Davis, Daisy said: “I thought he was going to be here but he passed away on my first day so I’m actually quite emotional.”

She said she hoped wherever he was, her grandad was watching, and added: “As long as I’ve danced my best and know I’ve made gramps proud somewhere that’s all that really matters to me.”

Daisy and Aljaz are now top of the leaderboard after this weekend’s first live shows with Danny and his partner Oti Mabuse in joint second, while Louise Redknapp and her partner Kevin Clifton are on 31 points.

Danny and Oto received a standing ovation as they danced the Cha Cha to DNC’s Cake By The Ocean.
