X Factor’s Samantha Atkinson breaks her silence after being controversially ditched in favour of Honey G
The landlady is upset but vows this is not the end of her career

X FACTOR reject Samantha Atkinson has broken her silence after being ditched from the competition in favour of Honey G.
The 32-year-old landlady was left heart broken when Sharon Osbourne revealed she had not made it through to the live shows after she performed Louisa Johnson's Tears at Judges Houses.
Samantha, from Yorkshire, said: "I was absolutely distraught - there aren't really any words to describe it.
"But I don't feel like it is the end - it is just the start for me.
"I feel like X Factor has given me a great platform and people now know who I am and what I'm about.
"I have had people contacting me offering me help to get my name out there even more and it is great."
The mum-of-two initially impressed judges with her rendition of When We Were Young by Adele but didn't make it to the live finals.

Sharon chose Saara Aalto, Relley C and Honey G as her three contestants in the overs 25 category.
Samantha added: "As the competition progressed I think I showed I wasn't just an Adele copy.
"I wanted to show people I could a variety of things. That's why I sang Tears for Sharon and Robbie.
"I wanted to show that just because I was in the overs category didn't mean I wasn't a current artist."
But despite leaving the competition, Samantha still wishes those who did get through well, including controversial choice Honey G.
She said: "Well done to her at the end of the day.
"I can't say I wasn't disheartened that both she and Saara got through when neither of them had a chair at the six-chair challenge.
"I fought really hard to keep that chair too, but at the end of the day Sharon has made her decision."
And Samantha remains optimistic and tight lipped about her future.
She continued: "I'm going to keep it a surprise but this isn't the end at all."
