GAME SHOW WARS

Pointless stars Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman claim Bradley Walsh and The Chase ‘don’t have fans’

The presenting duo had a playful dig at the ITV presenter

POINTLESS stars Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman have thrown down the gauntlet to Bradley Walsh by joking that The Chase "doesn't have an audience".

The double act were appearing on Lorraine this morning and could help have a playful dig at the 56-year-old presenter.

Alexander, 46, started by mentioning that Bradley films next to them when they're Pointless.

Richard, 45, reminded him the name of his programme: "It's The Chase".

The presenter: "Oh is it The Chase? I haven't seen it."

The pair joked about Bradley Walsh on Lorraine

Lorraine Kelly playfully reprimanded him: "You know it is."

Alexander continued: "It's hilarious because Brad doesn't have an audience whereas we do and occasionally Brad comes into ours..."

Richard, who created quiz show Pointless, claimed it was because "he gets so lonely": "He comes and sits in my chair... chatting to the audience..."

Lorraine then suggested that Bradley came on as a warm-up act for their show, but Richard quickly retorted: "No, we need people actually warmed up."

Lorraine couldn't help chuckle at the friendly rivalry

After Lorraine and Alexander burst into shocked laughter, the Pointless co-presenter said: "No, we love Bradley as you know."

When the pair were asked how long Pointless would remain on TV for, Alexander diplomatically replied: "For as long as people like watching it I think."

But Richard couldn't help but have a dig at the whole GBBO saga and joked: "For as long as Channel 4 don't buy it, that's the key... We'll keep doing it."
