Harry Potter actor Devon Murray contemplated suicide just months ago amid battle with depression
The 27-year-old appeared in all eight of the Harry Potter movies alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint

HARRY Potter actor Devon Murray has revealed just how close he came to taking his own life only a few months ago.
The star - who played Seamus Finnigan in all eight of the movies in the franchise - admitted his depression was so bad at one point he threw a rope over bannister and was "pretty much ready to hang myself".
The 27-year-old decided to speak out about his mental health just five months after the High Court ordered the actor and his parents to pay £234,269 in unpaid commission to his former agent.
Devon previously admitted his life was a "mess" and that his family were going through "some difficult times" and in April this year, things finally came to a head.
He told RTÉ 2fm’s Eoghan McDermott: “I was pointless, I was just a disaster.
“And then come April, I had to stand in the barn and I had to clean out all of the horses stables.
“I’d turn them out onto the arena, I’d turn them out onto the fields and I had a laundering rope.
“And I threw it over one of the bannisters in the barn and I was pretty much getting ready to hang myself.”
Thankfully Devon came to his senses and called his parents before going any further.
He added: “So I text my mam and my dad and I can’t remember exactly what I said to them but it was me asking them for help without me actually asking for help.”
The star's parents quickly came to his aid, but the incident is just the latest in Devon's decade-long battle with depression.
He continued: "People have always said, ‘Oh you’re in Harry Potter, you’ve got the best life in the world’.
"Where in a sense I had an amazing life, I had a fantastic life, but I also had to give up so much.
"I had to live in the UK for pretty much eleven years, away from my father, away from my school friends, away from just going to school and having my horses.”
Thankfully Devon is in a "much better" place now he is able to "talk about everything".
He said: “Harry Potter was the best thing in my life but in a sense it kind of turned into some of the worst times of my life.
“So now I’m in a good place I want to get back into the saddle again and get out acting and just be me again and do what I love.”
