Emmerdale’s Robert Sudgen finds boyfriend Aaron Dingle submerged in water – just as he is about to propose
New teaser shots hint at a dramatic start to the week on the ITV soap

LOVESTRUCK Emmerdale hunk Aaron Dingle may well be saying 'I do' while submerged in deep, deep water in a dramatic start to this week's episodes.
Blurry teaser images released by producers of the ITV show reveal the Dingle (Danny Miller) submerged in dark blue waves with a seriously scared expression on his face.
His brows were furrowed in worry and his mouth open to let out a few air bubbles which popped to the surface.
Yet it is the second shot which will have sparked intense worry among fans of the Yorkshire soap, revealing Aaron's eyes wide open and him seemingly meeting his fate.
The shocking twist comes as his lover Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) plans to propose.
He has the ring in his pocket yet his plans are seemingly scuppered as furious Aaron attempts to drown Lachlan White, when he threatens to pretend Robert sexually assaulted him.
Yet with Aaron submerged instead, it looks like his attempt at protecting his other-half has gone wrong.
Scenes aired tonight will show Robert's ex son in law Lachlan threaten Robert by telling him that he will pretend that that he sexually abused him and hopes this will make him leave.
What he doesn’t count on is Aaron overhearing.
Chas’ son was sexually abused and raped by his father, so when he hears that Lachlan is planning to lie about something so horrifying (and about his boyfriend), Aaron is infuriated.
He grabs Lachlan and shoves his head under water.

It marks the start of a gripping week for the soap which actor John Middleton, who plays vicar Ashley Thomas, vowed would go down in soap history.
Viewers were left on the edge of their seats after producers released a nail-biting trailer revealing that at least one cast member would die in the Dales.
Last week on Good Morning Britain, John gushed about the impending drama and said: “We have done something important.
“We have done TV that will be talked about in a few years time.
“It’s TV people will remember and say ‘do you remember when Emmerdale did that?’
“You will want to see every episode.”
Officially, there are eight cast members with the Grim Reaper lingering at their door, and all are at risk.
John's character, Ashley, has been confirmed to leave the show so he is a prime candidate.
Meanwhile, Ashley is suffering from vascular dementia and fans will see the scenes run alongside those showing him forgetting the name of his own daughter, Dotty, on her Christening day.
He added to GMB reporter Richard Arnold: "It's quite extraordinary the way we have filmed it.
"The drama is in the scripts."
