The singer was more than happy to address the fact the song was about her former fiance
PERRIE Edwards has confirmed that Little Mix’s new song is about her ex- fiance Zayn Malik.
The singer made her feelings about him very clear during an appearance on BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast show this morning, when quizzed by Nick Grimshaw.
When asked how she felt about her personal life being discussed, she simply replied: “We did expect it. The song speaks for itself.”
Her bandmate Jade, added: “Everyone has an ex and everyone has a bad one” and the girls all started laughing.
And when a fan questioned how smug Perrie was feeling after the performance on the X Factor last night, Jesy blurted out: "She feels smug as a pug."

Making Perrie emotional, she added: "I would just like to say she is bloody beautiful and she is wonder woman and she deserves the world."
In the track – which is entitled Shout Out To My Ex – she mocks the former One Direction star’s bedroom skills, singing: “I hope she gettin’ better sex, Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe.”
At another point, Perrie mocks the inking of her face which Zayn had on his bicep, which he has since covered up with another tattoo.
The lyrics continue: “Guess I should say thank you, For the ‘hate yous’ and the tattoos, Oh baby I’m cool by the way, Ain’t sure I loved you anyway.”
The couple got together in 2011 when Little Mix were on the X Factor, but they eventually split in July last year – just months after he quit 1D amid news he had cheated on Perrie while on tour.
Last week Perrie told The Sun that she didn’t think Zayn needed warning about the song, while Jesy said: “We don’t think he deserves a warning! He’ll just have to wait to see.”
