Nicole Scherzinger’s relief as she throws pen in fit of rage at X Factor results – but misses audience

ANGRY Nicole Scherzinger was so furious her act Freddy Parker was voted off The X Factor last night she lobbed her pen into the audience
in a fit of rage.
The blond singer, 18, lost out in the sing-off to Sharon Osbourne’s Finnish contestant Saara Aalto when the judges’ split vote sent the
decision to deadlock, where he lost the viewer vote.
Speaking to The Sun backstage after the show, Nicole admitted she needs to control her outbursts.
She said: “I was really upset. Thank god [the pen] hit a security guard and not someone in the audience. I was like, I can’t do that
again.”
But the judge isn’t done yet. She’s planning to confront Louis Walsh for choosing to back Saara, despite criticising her during Saturday’s Motown-themed show for not connecting with viewers.
Asked what she’ she’s going to say to her fellow judge, Nicole said: “What the hell were you thinking? You know he out sang her. Louis
knows it, so he should have stood by it.”
The Irishman, 64, had told Saara, 29, after her rendition of Tina Turner’s River Deep, Mountain High that viewers weren’t getting her,
saying: “They feel you’re a little bit cold or something. I think that’s the problem. I know you’re from Finland, but that’s what I’m
getting from the public, they don’t warm to you.”
But after Saara belted out Snow Patrol’s Light Up during the Sunday night results show, Louis chose to give her a pass to next week, with only Simon Cowell, 57, choosing to back Nicole’s act Freddy.

Nicole, 38, admitted: “I’m honestly very shocked by Louis. I don’t know what he was thinking. I don’t know if he was just listening to
Saara’s high notes. Maybe he was supporting Mrs O. Maybe he thought Freddy did such a good job he wouldn’t go home. I don’t know. But
Freddy shouldn’t have gone.”
The seething singer continued: “It would have been different if it was like ‘Oh my gosh I don’t know which one [to choose].
“I was upset because for me, you have to feel it. You have to go off of your gut. And I feel like tonight on that sing-off he earned it. It wasn’t sympathy or anything and Simon always goes with his gut.”
Nicole said it’s difficult sending anyone home, but as far as she’s concerned the wrong decision was made, with Freddy following Bratavio out of the competition.
She added: “It’s hard you know. I think Saara’s amazing. She was my Wildcard. So I support her too. But in that sing-off he won it.”
The judge is saving some of her anger for the public, too. It was Freddy’s second week in the bottom three and another of her contestants, Ryan Lawrie, was also at risk of leaving, saved only by the new lifeline app vote.
She said: “To be honest with you, I was just upset with the public as well. In the end it went to a deadlock.”
The former Pussycat Doll made a final dig at Louis saying perhaps she should start pleading with viewers for votes, adding: “Maybe I should do that whole ‘hey everybody please pick up the phone and vote’ thing.
As an artist, I don’t think that way. I just don’t. If you’ve ever seen me on X Factor I don’t think you’ve ever heard me say pick up the phone and vote. It’s not in my nature to do that. But I’m like, damn maybe I should now.”
