Celebs who hooked up with their ex’s best friend including Hollywood star who dumped fiancé for his mate on wedding day
IT'S an unspoken rule that you don't date your best mate's ex - but these celebs clearly didn't get the memo.
Last week Phil Vickery was caught kissing his ex-wife Fern Britton’s pal Lorraine Stanton.
It comes just two years after Phil and former This Morning host Fern separated after 20 years of marriage.

Dawson's Creek star Katie Holmes was married to Tom Cruise from 2006 to 2012 and they share daughter Suri, now 16.
A year after their split, Katie was linked to Jamie Foxx - who Tom became close to when they worked together on Collateral in 2004.

Ant McPartlin
Saturday Night Takeaway host Ant McPartlin was married to Lisa Armstrong from 2006 to 2018, but is now married to Anne-Marie Corbett.
When The Sun first revealed the news of Ant and Anne-Marie’s relationship, Lisa revealed she was her friend.

She tweeted: "Yeah My friend and OUR PA who I let into OUR home."
When one of her followers asked her if Ant had broken the news to her, she tweeted: "Nope. Just [found out] how you guys did."
Nicola McLean tweeted her support for Lisa, to which she replied: "Thanks babe and to think she was MY friend!!"
Ioan Gruffudd
Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd was married to his 102 Dalmatians co-star Alice Evans from 2007 to 2021, and they have two daughters - Ella, 12, and Elsie, eight.
But last year, the Liar star revealed he was dating Bianca Wallace, and thanked her for helping him to “smile again”.
Although that didn’t last long, as Alice promptly accused him of cheating on her with Bianca, who she was friends with.
In a series of gut-wrenching tweets, Alice raged: “So it turns out that my husband, after two years of telling me I’m a bad person and I’m not exciting and he no longer wants to have sex with me and he just wants to be on set abroad . . . has been in a relationship for THREE years behind all our backs.”
Ioan and Bianca have strenuously denied these claims, and a judge has handed Alice a restraining order demanding she cease mentioning the couple on social media for three years.
Julia Roberts
The love triangle that Julia Roberts got herself into in the 90s was a huge Hollywood scandal.
In 1991, the Pretty Woman actress was engaged to Kiefer Sutherland and preparing for a huge wedding.
But, on June 14, 1991, the day of the million-dollar wedding, Julia - who, ironically ended up starring in The Runaway Bride - ditched her groom at the altar.
She then ran off with his best friend Jason Patric, flying to Ireland and “practically making love” in the air, according to passengers on the plane.
Julia and Jason broke up not long after, before she quickly and briefly married Lyle Lovett.
Kiefer and Jason never really spoke about the scandal until last year (Julia has never commented). On Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast, they revealed that, after nearly 20 years of not speaking, they'd buried the hatchet in 2009, and even did a play together.
Jason said: “The press, and being invited to the wedding, and taking off with the bride — that’s all bull***t.”
They wouldn’t discuss the specifics, except to suggest it was a case of “bad timing".
“You fall in love, you fall in love,” Kiefer said. “There’s nothing you can do about that. She’s an extraordinary person, and he is too, and, you know, timing is what it is, and everyone moves on from that.”
The Weeknd
The Weeknd and Bella Hadid dated on and off from 2015 to 2019 - and on their break in 2017, Bella reportedly spent a lot of time being supported by twin DJ duo Simi and Haze Khadra.
But in February this year, rumours swirled that the Blinding Lights singer and Simi were dating - and they were even spotted kissing at his birthday party by a fan on TikTok.
According to , the two weren’t trying to hide their relationship and were “by each other’s sides the entire night”, “making out” in front of guests, including Swedish House Mafia and Drake.
Shortly after the rumours started, Bella showed her feelings on it by quietly unfollowing Simi and Haze’s joint account on Instagram.
Taylor Lautner
Taylor Lautner briefly dated both Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift - who are best friends.
Taylor met Selena when they were both filming in Vancouver in 2009, and for a brief period they were pictured cuddling in the streets and going on dates.
Later that year, the Twilight star met Taylor Swift on the set of Valentine’s Day, in which they played a high-school couple.
Taylor squared, as they came to be known, dated for just a few months in 2009 before their relationship eventually fizzled out.
Selena and Taylor Swift's friendship, however, is still going strong.
Adam Duritz
Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston famously starred together in Friends and are real-life buddies, too.
While Monica and Rachel never went for the same guy, Courteney and Jen did - in the shape of Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz.
Jennifer first met Adam in 1995 after being set up by mutual friends.
"It didn’t last very long, but she’s a nice girl," he told .
He was later linked to Courteney when she starred in his band’s 1997 video for A Long December.
Luckily it didn't seem to cause too much aggro between the two pals.
Joe Jonas
Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas infamously broke up during a 27-second phone call back in 2008.
She even wrote about the split in two break-up songs, Last Kiss and Break Up Revenge - though Joe denied ever being so inconsiderate.
Things seemed frosty between the two for years, but they were both able to put the past behind them when Joe started dating Gigi Hadid - an official member of Taylor's girl squad - in 2015.
Taylor even went on a double date with Gigi and Joe.
John Mayer
Ms Swift hasn't had much luck when it comes to her exes dating her mates - John Mayer also fell for one of her pals.
Taylor and John dated in 2010 briefly, with her writing Dear John about him after they broke up.
The lyrics include: “Dear John, I see it all now that you're gone.
“Don't you think I was too young to be messed with? The girl in the dress, cried the whole way home, I should've known.”
Taylor’s friend Katy Perry then began dating John in 2012. To add insult to injury, some of Taylor’s back-up dancers also left to go on tour with Katy.
Both of these things apparently upset Taylor so much she decided the two were sworn enemies, and made her star-studded music video for Bad Blood about their fall-out.
Katy and John were together on-and-off for about three years until they ended their relationship in July 2015.
Meanwhile, Katy and Taylor seemingly put their Bad Blood behind them when Katy starred in Taylor’s music video for You Need To Calm Down in 2019 - as the burger to her chips.
Ian Somerhalder
Ian Somerhalder met Nina Dobrev on the set of The Vampire Diaries back in 2009, and much like their characters, their chemistry was evident from the beginning.
The couple dated for four years before calling it quits in 2013, devastating fans of the show.
The following year, Ian started dating Nina's mate, Twilight star Nikki Reed, and they got engaged just six months later in January 2015.
The couple married in 2017 - and Nina announced she was leaving the Vampire Diaries soon after.
Nikki and Ian now have a five-year-old daughter, Bodhi, together.
However the trio now appear to get on well and go out for dinner together.
