'But I love Arlene'

Craig Revel Horwood hits back at allegations he slammed ex-strictly judge Arlene Phillips

The show's former dancer Ola Jordan made the accusation in her new book

STRICTLY Come Dancing’s CRAIG Revel Horwood slammed claims he branded ex-judge Arlene Phillips “s*** at her job” in a drunken rant.

It comes after the show’s former dancer Ola Jordan made the allegation in her sensational new autobiography.

The fiery judge has blasted her, telling the Daily Star Sunday that he never said that about the former judge.

He said: “If that’s the only thing they were selling the book on then I’d be scared to read it because it won’t be very interesting.

“The truth is I love Arlene Phillips. Whatever Ola has written about what I said about Arlene is just hearsay and her opinion. I don’t care.”

Craig even insisted he would like to have Arlene return to the show: “I would love to see Arlene come back. She was a wonderful judge for the first couple of years. I brought her back on the tour as well

“She’s also working with Strictly as a judge on the cruises.

"She’s well and truly involved. I wouldn’t have a problem with her coming back.”

Craig also said fellow judge Len Goodman was not to blame for Will Young’s shock exit.

Viewers saw them clash on the show when Len told Will to “keep up and shut up”.

Days later Will walked off the show, blaming “personal reasons”.

But Craig said: “Len has said that comment about 20 times over the years.

"He went on to say it was a joke. He couldn’t have been clearer about that. He was just having a bit of fun, which is what Strictly is all about.”
