Throughout the six seasons so far, Jon and Dany have never crossed paths - but now the wait appears to finally be over as they prepare for battle.

In one action scene, Jon can be seen tackling Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), while in others he appears deep in discussion with Khaleesi and their close team.

Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, became a close confident with Daenerys in the last season, and again appears at her side in this.

But while the battle rages on on the show, the same can't be said for the cast, who were giggling and posing for photos during their downtime.

A fan managed to grab a spoiler video after spotting the new series being filmed - and appears to show the very moment Jon Snow, the reluctant King of the North, meets Queen Daenerys on a cold, windswept mountain.

With the books being called A Song of Fire and Ice,  fans have long speculated that the fire is Daenerys, while Jon, from the North, is the ice.

And now with the pair finally together at last, fans will soon know if they were right.

But without only two more seasons of the show to go, things will have to get moving to tie up all the existing storylines.

HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys recently confirmed the show would end after season eight, with seasons seven only comprising of seven episodes.

The new series of Game of Thrones will arrive in in 2017
