Will.I.Am accidentally turns around for ‘boring’ contestant after cleaning his buzzer on The Voice

THE Voice coach Will.I.Am accidentally picked an unwanted contestant while cleaning his buzzer.
The bored Black Eyed Peas star, 41, pressed too hard when rubbing off a smiley face he drew during the wannabe’s live audition.
His chair suddenly turned round to confirm his interest, leaving him lumbered with the hopeful as rival coaches Tom Jones and new stars Jennifer Hudson, 35, and Gavin Rossdale, 50, stayed with their back to them.
A show insider said: “Will was mortified as he came face to face with the singer – he couldn’t have been less interested.
“He tried to style it out by saying a ghost had pressed the button and even referenced the Patrick Swayze film as he dug a deeper hole for himself.
“Will then held his hands up and admitted he didn’t mean to turn around, but would stand by his mistake.
“It was a bittersweet victory for the poor guy.”
It’s not the first time Will has been left in panicking live on air after making an accidental 180-degree turn.

The awkward moment will be shown when The Voice launches on its new ITV home next year.
The winner will bag a record deal with music giants Polydor Records, home to stars including Take That and Ellie Goulding, for the first time since switching channels after five years on the BBC after failing to produce successful chart stars compared to rival show X Factor.
