Warning: This article contains spoiler ahead of the episode's UK premiere

KING Ezekiel and his tiger Shiva finally make their debut in Monday's episode of The Walking Dead.

Following last week’s brutal opening episode which left distressed viewers switching off, fans are given a breather as the latest offering of the American horror drama is surprisingly tame in comparison.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the second episode of The Walking Dead season seven.

"I forgot to say that [King] Ezekiel has a tiger," Morgan says nonchalantly to Carol as they’re escorted into the safe haven of The Kingdom at the start of the episode.

Viewers were then finally introduced to Ezekiel and tiger Shiva as the pair met the leader in an empty theatre.

Despite appearing somewhat bemused at Carol, the gracious host announced any friend of Morgan’s was “a friend of the realm” and was welcome to anything she wanted.

Carol joked all she wanted was rest, before explaining her disbelief to Morgan once the pair were alone again.

“You’re s***ing me, right? This place is a damn circus!” she raged, intending to escape the second her companion wasn’t looking.

Inside The Kingdom, all occupants are trained survivors.

They ride ride on horseback with armour and can hold their own in a fight.

The inhabitants boast livestock, produce, a school and a choice that belts out Bob Dylan.

In a lot of ways, the Kingdom is exactly what Alexandria could have become with better leadership in place.

Throughout the episode, further details of Ezekiel's Kingdom, how he came to lead the community and how he came to be Shiva's master are also revealed.

After Carol brands the monarch a joke, Ezekiel responds with surprising honesty.

During the candid chat, he suggested the people needed someone who could lead and he simply "acted the part."

Ezekiel's Kingdom also has a deal going on with the Saviors in which they need to provide them with supplies and/or food.

Ezekeil become a great asset and ally to Rick and the Alexandrians down the line which is strongly hinted throughout the episode.
