Celeb hypnotist Paul McKenna reveals he only lasted one day in first ever job

HYPNOTIST Paul McKenna has revealed he was the worst store detective ever and was mistaken for a thief by the rest of the team.
McKenna, 59, got the job at Harrods in London after leaving school.
But on his first day he was reported as a suspected shoplifter by other store detectives.
He said it was the worst job he has ever done, adding: “I was a Harrods store detective for a day.
“I was so bad at it, one of the other detectives thought I looked suspicious and reported me.”
He also revealed that he used to hypnotise witnesses in police cases.

The TV star and self-help guru, now worth around £70million, explained: “I used to do work for the police — I’d hypnotise a witness to remember a licence plate or something.
“I didn’t want payment, I just wanted to go out in a squad car on a Friday night.
“It was phenomenal, driving 100mph on the pavement on the wrong side of the road, chasing villains.”
