Strictly’s ‘incredible’ dancer Daisy Lowe isn’t getting public vote because she ‘doesn’t have fanbase’

STRICTLY'S Daisy Lowe is finding herself in the dance-offs because she hasn't much of a fanbase, says professional Janette Manrara.
The model has been in the bottom two for a fortnight even though the judges gave her high scores.
Janette Manrara thinks Daisy, 27, perhaps isn't getting the public vote because of a lack of a solid "fanbase" and the type of viewers the show draws.
The 32-year-old pro was voted off the series in the first week after being in the dance-off herself with partner Melvin Odoom.
"I think people don't really know Daisy," she told Digital Spy this week. "The Strictly fanbase is such a different fanbase from what Daisy normally does.
"I'm hoping after two dance-offs, people will get to know her. I think she's an incredible dancer and she shouldn't leave the competition. She's one of the strongest."
Janette's fiancé, Strictly co-star Aljaz Skorjanec, 26, is Daisy's dance partner, and she says it's "surprising" they have been so low down the leader board after the public vote.
The pair won the dance-off against Anastacia and Brendan Cole on Sunday, for a second near-miss in a row.
Anastacia has been hampered by injury issues with scars from her previous breast cancer surgery and this week Brendan had a serious lung infection.
Head judge Len Goodman said of Daisy's bad luck in the rankings, on Chris Evans' Radio 2 breakfast show: "She's a terrific dancer, she's got a lovely personality and she's such a charming, lovely person.
'The only thing I can think of is that people, when they vote, may see Daisy - she's there, she's in fourth place, she's in a good position, they may think, 'Well, she's safe'."
But Daisy was looking upbeat as she left the Strictly studio on Sunday night. And she wowed in a stunning evening gown at the Pride of Britain Awards in London on Monday - before wearing the same dress on Strictly's It Takes Two sofa the next night.
It led fans to wonder whether she had been partying for 24 hours with dancer partner Aljaz.
The couple will perform the Viennese Waltz to Daisy Bell by Harry Dacre on this weekend's live show.
